The Ladybug

As I was sitting on a bench, a sunny day,
I saw little ladybug.
She was not happy, she was not sad
She just had red and black, red and black

She crossed the bench. One time. Two times.
taking the same or different paths
and I was laughing at her, thinking:
"It is so pointless, little bug!"

But as I came to realize
the bug just didn't care.
Her life was simple, as it should
simpler than what I'd ever dare.

A so-called "meaning" didn't need
she was there just to live
she didn't want her time to waste
searching a purpose to believe.

The ladybug just crossed me over
as I was processing the "living"
And then, I thought I heard her singing:
"How weird this creature, the Human Being".
